The Windows Server 2003 standard is available on S2 and S3 Servers.
Limestone Networks, a dedicated server hosting company, today announced the availability of Windows Server 2003 standard licenses free of charge with its S2 and S3 series dedicated servers. The company believes that it is breaking new ground with this offering as other companies routinely charge for this operating system. The company states that it aims to extend dedicated server accessibility through its free Windows Server standard option on its S2 and S3 servers.
The company mentions that their customers can request the Windows Server 2003 standard when placing their order, and their server will typically be available with the operating system in the industry leading 2 to 4 hour total provisioning time.
"We believe that a customer's dedicated server experience should never be impeded by an unfamiliar operating system," said Gary Kendall, Limestone Network's CEO.
