The Planet Announces Dedicated Backup Server Promotion

The backup options are now priced at 23 cents per gigabyte.

The Planet, a dedicated hosting provider, announced its Dedicated Backup Server pricing promotion.

The company boasts that the servers come equipped with R1Soft's full-featured CDPServer continuous data protection software. The company states that their customers can backup an unlimited number of clients and select from three storage options, 500 GB, 1TB or 1.5TB. This promotion will be on until January 14, 2008.

"Our customers know that backup is vital, but often can't afford a full-featured, enterprise-class solution," Urvish Vashi, The Planet's director of Product Management, said in a statement issued to the media.
