Names the company as the best performing new service partner in 2006. Also launches .hk Chinese character domain names.
Instra Corporation, an Australian Domain Name and ENUM Registrar, has been named by HKDNR, the Hong-Kong Domain Name Registry, as their Best Performing New Service Partner 2006.
Phillip Parker, Instra's Business Development Manager, accepted the award from Mr. Jonathan Shea, HKDNR's CEO at a ceremony held in the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Hong Kong.
Mr. Shea took the opportunity of the Award Ceremony to launch the '.hk' Chinese character Domain Name.
The ICANN Board approved the .asia tld last December, and named the DotAsia organisation the responsible gTLD Registry. It is expected that .asia TLD will be launched within 6-9 months. The scope of the .asia TLD has been defined by ICANN as their Asia/Australia and Pacific Region. This includes 70 countries and covers the Middle East, the Far East and Oceania.
