Private JVM is now available on an additional fee basis though its LiteFire, ProFire and EliteFire plans, and free of charge through its MegaFire plan.
HostIgnition, a provider of web hosting services, the company announced yesterday that they have added a Private JVM option to four of its hosting plans.
According to the company, the move was a response to demand for Private JVM which is now available on an additional fee basis though its LiteFire, ProFire, and EliteFire plans, and free of charge through its MegaFire plan.
Previously JSP and Java servlet applications were hosted on a shared JVM environment. This caused occasional performance fluctuations when traffic peaked or when certain applications used resources excessively. It also meant that it was necessary to contact the company's technical support to get a Tomcat server restarted and recompile JSP scripts or reload development descriptors.
