Server Intellect Upgrades Dedicated Servers

Adds SSL VPN to all dedicated servers, allowing a private LAN that can be created between servers at the datacenter.


Server Intellect, a dedicated web hosting solutions provider, today announced that it has added the capabilities for Encrypted Virtual Private Networks (SSL VPN) to all of its dedicated servers.

To implement the technology, dedicated servers have been equipped with a set of network cards allowing a private LAN to be created between servers at the datacenter. The network is comprised of Cisco 6500, 3500 and 2900 series switches and routers and has a dedicated gigabit network connection to the Internet. Dedicated server customers can create VPN connections directly to this datacenter LAN. The technology has been made available to all dedicated customers at no additional cost and access is available upon request.
