FreeBSD VPS v3 provides businesses and developers an enhanced, fully-managed virtual private server solution.
Verio, a provider of hosting and managed services, today unveiled the third generation of its FreeBSD-based Virtual Private Server solution.
In this latest version of the VPS, updates to core applications and enhanced support for a variety of technologies has been introduced, that makes the hosting solution ideal for businesses with limited IT staff resources and for developer outfits. Verio VPS offers end-users a system with all the functionality of a dedicated server in a virtualized and fully managed environment.
With the latest plans, users will also get a larger amount of disk space. The VPS v3 1000 plan gives users 20 GBs of disk space up from 14 GBs with the previous plan. Other improved features include an upgrade of the operating system to FreeBSD 6.0, including support for the latest Java implementations on the VPS v3 2000
