SingleHop, Inc, a managed hosting provider, yesterday launched transparent managed service offering on dedicated servers.

SingleHop was founded by midPhase founders Zak Boca and Dan Ushman. The transparent managed service provided offers services such as SMTP, IMAP, DNS, apache, firewalls, backups, monitoring and security upgrades, says the company.

"Until today most hosting provider's offered very few options in managed services; consumers either opted for pay as you go trouble tickets, which added up very quickly or for tiered support, which is like paying for a tune up when you need an oil change.
