Private Domain Depot, an ICANN accredited registrar, announced on Tuesday that it has extended online identity protection for $1.95, originally to expire on October 15, 2006, it will now be extended to November 15, 2006.
According to the company, the consumers are not aware that upon registering a domain name, their name, address, telephone number and e-mail address are made public worldwide and can be accessed in the WHOIS. Information could be harmful for battered spouses, home businesses that deal with large amounts of cash, expensive inventory, antiques or the collector that showcases valuable collections.
The company also announced that domain name registrations are on sale for $1.99 bundled with free blog, e-mail, web starter page, parked page and domain forwarding.
