GoDaddy.com, an ICANN accredited registrar, yesterday announced that its web-based email users can now protect their emails not only with a Go Daddy secure certificate, but also with the added protection of Rijndael encryption.
Go Daddy says that its newest encryption technique uses Rijndael, the Advanced Encryption Standard, which is also adopted by the United States Government.
To take advantage of Rijndael encryption, email customers simply select 'Add Encryption' in the compose window of their message and then designate a 'Password' and 'Hint'.The recipient, who must also be using Go Daddy web-based email, then enters the correct password based on the hint to decode the message.
