Terremark Worldwide, Inc., an operator of integrated Tier-1 Internet Exchanges and network services, today announced that Facebook, a universal online database for college students serving more than 8 million users, has signed a multi-year contract to house their mission-critical infrastructure at Terremark's NAP West facility in Santa Clara, California.
Facebook has deployed over 450 servers at the NAP West facility. Terremark's secured platform is one of the reasons that led Facebook to select the NAP West facility to house their operations. The critical-mass of carriers combined with the managed services that Terremark provides its customers are advantages that Facebook requires, claims the company.
