Domain Central, an auDA accredited registrar, yesterday announced that it has reduced the price for Top Level Domain (TLD) registrations and renewals by almost 50 percent.
Domain Central claims that .com, .net, .org, .info, or .biz domain registration or renewals, originally sold at A$24.50 per year now have dropped to A$12.50 per year (inc GST).
Domain Central asserts that every Australian business should have at least a .com.au, .com, and co.nz domain for their website, and to encourage this practice the prices are set with the lowest margins possible. Owning multiple domains will help increase the chance of its customers business being found, prevents missed opportunities caused by misspellings, and adds value to a business when used to help differentiating between products.
