New offering designed to extend VPS services to Linux developer and small business communities unveiled at LinuxWorld San Francisco 2006.
Verio Inc., a provider of hosting and managed services, today unveiled the development of its Virtual Private Server (VPS) hosted service running Red Hat Enterprise Linux version 4.
Available to customers and reseller partners starting in the fourth quarter 2006, the offering will mark Verio's first time to fully support VPS services in the Linux environment. Verio will announce Linux VPS at LinuxWorld, where the company will exhibit and offer demonstrations and live test drive previews of the upcoming offering. According to the company, the new Linux VPS solution will leverage a virtualized managed Linux environment with partitioning technology, enabling customers to take advantage of a full suite of managed services, account controls and applications, operating independently in the Linux environment.
