INetU, Inc., a managed hosting provider, yesterday announced the debut of its 'Business Continuity Hot Site' service, which will allow organizations with mission-critical web sites to have geographic failover and minimize the impact of a crisis.
The company says that the service, available only to INetU Managed Hosting clients, places servers in geographically diverse data centers and synchronizes the data between the two locations according to a schedule customized for the client's specific needs. During a crisis, the disaster recovery site can come online in short order and keep operations running. INetU manages hundreds of Internet servers and claims that its clients include recognizable names such as Microsoft, Infosys, Raymond James Financial, DreamWorks SKG, Sure Fit, Harriet Carter, KidsPeace, Writing.Com and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
