R1Soft, a developer of Continuous Data Protection tools for Linux and Windows, today released a public beta version of its long-awaited Windows 2.0 Continuous Data Protection, the latest version of its backup and recovery solution for Windows Servers. The company states that its data protection solution is the only software capable of a Continuous Data Protection style backup for both Windows and Linux servers.
It avers that the new Windows 2.0 CDP agent expands the scale and reach of data protection technologies for Windows servers by offering a variety of features, including Bare-Metal Restore, Open File backups, and backup windows reduced to minutes using CDP synchronization technology.
