Dax Networks, a networking company, today announced that it is launching IOLAN Secure Console Servers in partnership with Perle, a provider of serial and I/O connectivity solutions. The company states that an IOLAN Secure Console Server comes with security functionality to perform secure remote data centre management and helps IT managers reduce costs and cut downtime.
The company articulates that IOLAN Secure Console Servers will enable administrators to securely access remote serial console ports on equipment such as Private Branch Exchange (PBX), servers, routers, LAN switches, UPS, network storage equipment and security appliances through an IP network.
