Network Solutions, today announced that it has launched WatchDog Security Product, a Web site security service designed to protect online business owners and customers. It states that a Web site security service is aimed at monitoring Web sites for known vulnerabilities and performance problems.

It explains that WatchDog is a comprehensive security package for Web site monitoring, which features three components, including Web Site Vulnerability Scanning, Web Site Performance Monitoring, and a Certification Seal. Working together, these three elements monitor vulnerabilities, availability and performance, and build customer trust and confidence.

The company states that Web site vulnerability scanning detects existing site security holes that can be entry points for hackers.
