SoftLayer Partners with Microsoft, Red Hat & SWsoft

SoftLayer Technologies, a web host, yesterday announced that they have solidified key relationships with Microsoft, Red Hat and SWSoft.

SoftLayer is a member of the Microsoft SPLA program and Red Hat Hosting program that provides access to a large suite of software services available on a monthly rental basis. Microsoft Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Server, SQL 2005 database, Exchange server, Sharepoint and Small Business Server are now available through SoftLayer, said the company.

In addition to software services, SoftLayer has selected SWSoft for server virtualization and control panel software. SoftLayer deploys Virtuozzo across the dedicated server line and Plesk 7.5 Reloaded control panel across all server lines. The company announced Plesk 7.5 Reloaded with 30 domain support free of charge on all their servers.
