installing GD?

I've got a new VPS server and I wanna know how to Install GD with true type font?

True type functionality is already built-in, but you need freetype libraty on your server.

first get freetype

tar -pxzf freetype-2.1.3.tar.gz
cd freetype-2.1.3
make setup
make
make install

Get GD

tar -xzvf gd-2.0.34.tar.gz
cd gd-2.0.34/
./configure
make
