Rackspace to Provide Managed Hosting Solution for Java

Rackspace Managed Hosting, a hosting service provider, and JBoss, Inc., an open-source software developer, yesterday announced a partnership agreement to create Intensive Hosting for Linux – JBoss Edition.

The company says that as the first JBoss-certified hosting partner, it will resell JBoss Subscription support services as an optional component to its Intensive enterprise Linux hosting service. Intensive Hosting for Linux – JBoss Edition, which delivers a scalable, reliable and secure Java Enterprise Edition (EE) deployment environment, is delivered by Rackspace. JBoss certifies the offering and provides support escalation for complex issues.

The solution includes the installation, management, patching and support for Java EE application infrastructure components like JBoss, Apache, Tomcat, Oracle and MySQL.
