Interland Inc., a provider of websites and online services, today announced that it will change its name to Web.com, Inc. on March 20, 2006 in order to align itself more closely with its core web services business.
The company will continue to trade on the NASDAQ stock exchange, however under the memorable stock ticker 'WWWW'. The company's previous ticker was 'INLD'. The ticker change will also take place on Monday March 20, 2006.
"The Web.com name embraces everything in a brand that offers web services to both small businesses and consumers," stated Jeff Stibel, President and CEO, Interland. "From a business perspective, we feel the name change will enable powerful new marketing, business development and sales opportunities. While we intend to leverage the Interland name as it is well known within the technical community, we will focus on making Web.com the standard for creating a powerful web presence."
