WebEx Appoints New Vice President

WebEx Communications, Inc., a provider of on-demand collaborative business applications, recently announced the appointment of Bert van der Zwan as Vice President EMEA. Van der Zwan is based in Amsterdam at the company's European headquarters.

Van der Zwan has over 20 years of senior management experience in the European technology market, including eight years at data and voice networking company, 3Com Corporation. At 3Com, Van der Zwan was MD of Mid and North Europe and was responsible for all direct and channel sales activities. Most recently, Van der Zwan was MD of Action Engine, a joint venture between Microsoft and Intel, and a leading application platform provider for mobile devices. He was responsible for all aspects of the business in EMEA and played a key role in building platform relationships with mobile operators, relevant channels and the region's large hardware vendors.
