Default connection speed query?

Hello all,
I am running a popular site and looking to improve the performance of the site. I am also looking at getter another server to offload many of the other smaller sites. I host on main Dual Xeon rackserver. Also, I am looking for a new cheap Colo host. I am wondering how much bandwidth I may need in the connection speed?
Someone more knowledgeable might be able to better access what I need? As far as data transfer is concerned, the server uses between 300GB-500GB per month. -- This message may have been cut off and the rest will only be shown to members. To become a member, click here --

You need to get a more powerful server. A site using 300-500 GB bandwidth per month, don't require more then 2 Mbit. For any high traffic website, put server on a 100 Mbit PORT, and use metered services such as 1000-3000 GB. This allows to burst bandwidth, incase you get a bunch of users at once. -- This message may have been cut off and the rest will only be shown to members. To become a member, click here --
