hosting advice?

Hi everyone,
We are starting to host a website for our business. The website would require to support some downloads and uploads. There might be a lot of email traffic as well which would include sending mailing lists to about 500-1000 clients every other day. Any suggestions what I should be looking for and any good hosts? Budget will be under the $10 per month.

You might find it difficult that get host that will accept e-mailings of 500-1000messages every other day in a bulk fashion, especially at the $10/month range due to the potential for spam/abuse complaints.
