server account & p/w?

Hi people,
I am planning to use WAMP but I can't connect to it with my FTP client. Is there something that could mimic an online webserver but is actually offline and I can upload my files to it via ftp to change the CHMOD. What about its server account and password? Please reply.

My advice will be to just create a subdomain on your hosting account and upload the files there for testing. Hope it will work well for you!
