Apollo Hosting, a web hosting provider, today announced that it has deployed the MailBoxCop premium email filter to its Total Solutions hosting plans.
MailBoxCop is available on all Apollo Hosting platforms. It is a comprehensive email filter, covering viral threats and filtering unwanted spam email from a user's inbox. The company claims that it is updated automatically, and the software's spam filter is tuned not only by the individual user, but the aggregate preferences of all users.
The product blocks harmful attachments by reaching a customer's local machine, preventing a possible infection. Any suspicious email is held in quarantine, accessible via a browser-based interface. Advanced white and black list functionalities help users tag individual email addresses or entire domains they wish to either avoid or approve.
