With Colo, you are providing your own hardware. Different hardware may come with different requirements and hosted on a separate area away from the dedicated servers. As such dedicated space and access to that area would usually be granted to you or your technical support.

Dedicated servers are owned by the datacenter and come with a discounted price tag. The technical staffs would be trained to handle those servers. As dedicated servers are hands-off to the client, it can be kept on the same rack as the other dedicated servers. Bandwidth for dedicated servers are shared amongst all the servers on the rack or datacenter. Aso, server components add-ons come with a monthly charge which are not present in a colo server. -- This message may have been cut off and the rest will only be shown to members.
