Default to tar the files on two drives, then saving to third drive???

hi there,
I am looking at the following server configuration for a hosting company.
Redhat 6.2 OS
Intell PII-400
256 MB Memory
8.4 GB HD
8.4 GB HD
8.4 GB HD

looking of first two hard drives for accounts. The third hard drive for daily back-ups. I can tar the files on the first two drives and save them to the third drive.
How well will this set-up work?

It looks a decent one, but Red Hat Linux 6.2 has major security problems. also, with three hard drive, you could set it up as a RAID system and not to worry about backups. -- This message may have been cut off and the rest will only be shown to members. To become a member, click here --
