Default confusion in choosing web host provider

Hello buddies
I am entrusted with a task of building a site for my firm and frankly speaking, i do not know much about it. I am using Adobe Illustrator to build the site and was considering using IpowerWeb or Fortune City to host the site. Does anyone have any prior experience with either of these companies?

I have a domain name with iPower, and I can only say terrible things about them. After 6pm, Tech Support is almost non-existent, they do not even answer your call. I'm not sure about their hosting. The other one FortuneCity seems to be a good company to me. Apart ftom weekends, they oiffer full time customer support.
You should not have a problem building your website using Illustrator. I use Adobe Photoshop, and haven't had problems with that.

Best of Luck

Default Go 4 ipowerweb

Mate, I have multiple sites with iPowerWeb and they all have been great. I am able to use Adobe without any trroubles and in my case support has been terrific.
As for FortuneCity I used them for free hosting but never for paid. I would recommend you try ipowerweb and use their 30-day money back guarantee if it does not work out. But in my experience ipowerweb has been perfect for shared and dedicated hosting. -- This message may have been cut off and the rest will only be shown to members. To become a member, click here --

If you were to take my opinion, iPowerWeb is not the worst host, but certainly not the best. I was with them for a couple of years. Very little downtime which was good. However, whatever you buy today will be what you get as long as you are with them. If they offer a much better package 2 months from now, you will have to pay for the "upgrade". It is not a good way to treat existing customers. Money back scheme----ha, it takes several months to get refunded.

I have never used IpowerWeb but I have used fortunecity for their free hosting a long time ago. They were pretty reliable back then and the servers were fairly fast. Search this forum and you will surely get better choices.
cheers
