account moving from old to new server

I have made a backup. Is there any way that the new host can actually move your account from the old host directly to their server.

contact your new host, they will most likely will do it free of chage, if it’s the same control panel, if not, they may charge a nominal amount.

But someone had control panel hosting before and the new host basically transfered the account over WHM I think, and they also had cpanel. I have not yet decided about the host.

Hey, that's possible, in fact, switching from cPanel to cPanel should be no problem at all and as invincible said, majority of the times it should be done for free when moving to a new host.
