Affinity Internet, a web services provider for small businesses, yesterday announced the launch of its Microsoft Windows web and application hosting platform.
The company says that Windows packages will initially be offered on its new hosting solution - Gate.com. The Windows solution helps eliminate the hurdles of time-consumption and complexity while building a website by incorporating turn-key web applications. The applications can be installed with a single click, making the addition of advanced applications like blogs and community forums an easy deployment for any skill-level, claims the company.
According to Affinity, the Gate.com Windows packages include SQL Server 2005 and ASP.NET 2.0 at a cost-effective price point and leverage a wide-range of Microsoft technologies on the back-end such as Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Operations Manager and Windows Server Update Services.
