Nominum, a provider of network naming and addressing solutions, today announced that Verio, a hosting services provider, has selected its Foundation Authoritative Name Server (ANS) to ensure high availability for its domain name customers.
The upgrade of Verio's existing authoritative DNS servers with Nominum's commercial grade ANS servers has increased capacity threefold, reduced downtime and allows Verio to better meet service levels agreements to its growing subscriber base, claims the company.
