Error: "not in gzip format"

Hi there,
Has anyone encountered the following error with the solaris10 downloads?
When I gunzip mysql-5.1.12-beta-solaris10-sparc.pkg.gz I get the message "not in gzip format"

It looks like it might be uncompressed, and just misnamed. Or the files within the pkg may be compressed. Try renaming the file to take off the .gz extension, and just install it.
