command line client?

Hi everyone,
While running windows XP SP2, I am not able to get the command line client working. The shortcut has been installed and it appears to launch the client but then the window automatically closes. Plz suggest how to fix such a problem?

You could run the command line client from a command prompt window so the error message stays up on the screen. Open a command prompt window and type
c:\> "\program files\mysql\bin\mysql.exe" -u root -p
