MERGE tables issue!

I am looking for some replies for few queries about MERGE tables. Like how safe are they and what is the max size for MERGE tables? What is the disk size of MERGE tables?

Safety/stability depends to the underlying MyISAM. About max size for MERGE tables, there is potentially no max size as it limits by available disk space. The disk size of MERGE tables are very small, it only needs to store the list of MyISAM tables name in the MERGE table in a text file, in addition of a .frm file. -- This message may have been cut off and the rest will only be shown to members.
