server not responding?

Hello there,
In my system, mysqld is running for CUI it is connection but on trying in GUI that is using phpmyadmin it giving this problem of 'The server is not responding".

It looks as if your mysql service might be disabled. try checking it by typing services.msc at the command prompt.
