Default cant understand?

hello there,
I am using RedHat Linux ES 4.0. As I am trying to learn sql and MySQL I have a question about the syntax of the queries. As I double-clck on a table name seen under the schemata tab I see the query:
SELECT * FROM dbase.who_visited w LIMIT 0,1000 also
SELECT * FROM dbase.sub_categories s LIMIT 0,1000
I don't undestand the letter right before the LIMIT. any help out there?

That letter is an automatically generated alias for the table name. It is a common practice to assign short aliases as such to make the query easier to read and indeed easier to type. -- This message may have been cut off and the rest will only be shown to members. To become a member, click here --
