Can't connect to local MySQL server...

I have problem with my mySQL database, some other program make some problems on it. On connecting to database, mySQL return:

,,Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/opt/lampp/var/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)"

Can anyone help me?
