Error 0 while installing!!

hello,
I tried installing each of the versions of mysql but got the message "error 0".
Repair does not work as well. Searched my computer for any stray files to insure the failed installaion is completely erased. But same "error 0" appears. The version I really want to install is 4.1.20 as this is the version my web host uses so I can fully test and debug before adding the database. hi, Remove the service using this Service Removal App. and unistall any mysql version. Delete the installation directory so as to remove any left over configuration files. Store mysql datafiles on a different drive, so deleted that directory too and reboot. Install mysql 5.0 again.
