is this wrong config.?

I installed my new Dual Opeteron 250 with 8G memeory. running MySQL 5 under Redhat linux 4 u3. but when I ran ps -A | grep mysql, it shows only one instance of mysqld process. what's wrong with my config? -- This message may have been cut off and the rest will only be shown to members.
