Default mysql.sock

hi guys, I use Fedore Core 5 and installed MySql from package manager and Yum buut I cant find mysql.sock in /var/lib/mysql/mysql/mysql.sock

It seems as if MySQL is not running, and so the socket file is not created or may be this is not the right location for your socket file, so try to check your config file.
