On Restart: Lose my login & pswd

I'm running MySQL 4.1 on Win XP. It's installed as a service. I run the Server Instance Config Wizard successfully - but I have to do this every time I restart my computer. If I want to work in MySQL, i can't simply open the command line client, I have to run the server config first and reset my password or it doesn't work. -- This message may have been cut off and the rest will only be shown to members.
