Hi. I just upgraded from Fedora 3 to Fedora 5, and in the process, the RPM packages for MySQL 4.0 were replaced with those for MySQL 5.0.18.
mysqld does not start anymore. The command 'service mysqld start' says this:
Timeout error occurred trying to start MySQL Daemon.
In the file /var/log/mysqld.log shows:
