Hi there!
I wana upgrade a server from W2K3 SP1 x86 with 4.1 to a new 64-bit server with W2K3 R2 x64. I am glad to see that MySQL if finally available as a native 64-bit service!
This change to 64-bit for MySQL rises a question regarding the limits in the present 32-bit MySQL on Windows, as the current implementation of MySQL 4.1 on W2K3 only permits 2048 simultaneous files open. Is this limit still present in the 64-bit version of MySQL?
is there any performance gain of using 64-bit instead of 32-bit?
