connecting to MySql Server....!!

Hi there,
I installed the MySQL 5.0 release with the MySQL Query Browser Utility. My Operating system is Windows XP. but when connecting to the MySql Server from the MySql Query Browser, I get the error

" Could not fetch schema tables
The following error occured: Can't connect to MySql server on {10061}
"
