Not Fouund : my-template.cnf

I am trying to configure MySQL for the first time. I get the following error when I try to use the confugration wizard:

The template configuration file cannot be found at c:\program files\MySQL\MySQL Server 4.1\bin\my-template.cnf

thats also my problem. i have been able to use mysql for a few days than after some time error occured :Error Code: 2003
Please make sure that the MySQL server is installed correctly and service 'mysql' is started. (error come from my sql gui)...then i try to configure mysql then "my-template-cnf not found is the error".how can i configure or start mysql -- This message may have been cut off and the rest will only be shown to members.
