Default drop/add time.

Hi,

Please have a look:
MySQL Innodb setup with 1 file per table
MySQL Innodb setup with 1 file for all tables

Is the time to add/drop an index proportional to file size, table size, both, or something else? Is the time better with 1 file per table?

MySQL versions < 5.2 rebuild the whole table in CREATE INDEX and DROP INDEX, the time is proportional to the table size.
but the time is about the same. -- This message may have been cut off and the rest will only be shown to members. To become a member, click here --
