MySQL Error 2003

I have just installed mySQL 5.0 and upon re-starting my computer this morning I received an error of: MySQL Error 2003 Can't connect to MySQL server on local host (10061).

Any suggestions as to why I am not able to connect? Worked fine yesterday.

I did try starting the service after shutting down my firewall.
