installing 5.0 on Windows XP gives problem...

hello members,
Recently, i install 5.0 on Windows XP MySQL but it didnt start up. The Event log shows the following:

mysql-5.0.16-win32.zip downloaded from MySQL site. Windows XP SP2

Error log gives:
