Default something about meta tags

hi there,,
I never really paid attention to meta tags because I kept believing that Google simply does not care about meta tags, but after I was forced to look into a certain problem and I realized that I need to examine this ...

I reviewed some of discussions related to this in various forums, and there needs to be a unique meta description for each page apparently, but no meta keywords? Why is that? Why should we not have meta keywords? Does Google dislike meta keywords?
Thanks a lot in advance for any suggestion…

No, not dislike. It just doen't do anything with them for security reasons. Google will just not use them, but will not assign a lower pagerank to your website because you DO use them. Using keywords is standard and I suggest you DO use them for engines other than Google. Google might get a large share of the searches out there but if they get 60% Yahoo! and MSN get the other 30%. Understand? A lot of smaller searchengines still use Keyword tags. I don't know right now, but 2 years ago AltaVista still used them. -- This message may have been cut off and the rest will only be shown to members. To become a member, click here --

I would just like to say that meta keywords and meta description are both very important aspect for any website you make. Though google not takes meta keywords into consideration, but at the same time you should not forget that there are two other great search engines, namely Yahoo and MSN, that still takes meta description and keywords aspect into consideration. I would suggest you to have it put in your site and no need to have meta work for every page. -- This message may have been cut off and the rest will only be shown to members.
