Msn crawlers are good , even my site got indexed within 5 days. Although its rank was 3 which later came to 1 for a not so popular keyword. Its all manual for me except for an auto fill plugin for FireFox that just makes it easier than a copy & paste.

Everything from the directory url, submission date, site title, accepted or rejected is all recorded onto a spreadsheet.

MSN makes it easier to get ranked than Yahoo and Google. This can be a good thing because when it's ranked higher in MSN you can at least have traffic you may not have had otherwise. On the other hand as fast as you go up you go down. I've also found just from searching on MSN that their searches are very unorganized and unreliable. it seems to me that it is very easy to get ranked by msn compared to yahoo and google but it is awful hard to stay there.
